Welcome to the Nursing Resources Guide

The Magnolia Library provides access to a wide range of information (i.e books, journals, e-books, etc.)  for nursing students and faculty. This guide was created to provide a starting place for nursing research at BRCC.  Please use the tabs above to find articles, books, websites, and more with a focus on Nursing. If you have any questions or comments about this guide or resources for Nursing you can contact the Reference Desk at 225.216.8555 or librarian@mybrcc.edu.

Please keep in mind that the librarians of Baton Rouge Community College are another resource that you can utilize. During Library hours a librarian is always available at the 2nd floor Reference Desk to help you with your research needs.

PubMed

  • PubMed Homepage
    PubMed is a database that includes millions of peer-reviewed journal articles in medicine and the sciences. Mny articles are available in full text free of charge. PubMed contains articles from the MEDLINE database as well as other sources.
  • PubMed Central
    PubMed Central includes the free full text of articles available through the National Library of Medicine. Unlike PubMed, the articles in PubMed Central does not use indexing based on subject headings. This can make searching more challenging, because you must come up with your own keywords to find articles relevant to your topic.
