The ALC will be closed Thursday and Friday May 21-22 and Monday, May 25.


Beginning Tuesday, May 26, and throughout the summer semester, the center will be open Monday through Thursday. Hours to be posted soon.


Summer Workshop Information

The ALC is partnering with the Math and English Departments to offer skill-intensive summer workshops for students eligible for developmental MATH 094 and ENGL 091. The intent of these workshops is to help participants become more successful, confident, and competent with the concepts while also helping them to improve their COMPASS score and overall course placement.

Summer Mathematics Workshop

This workshop is open to new and continuing students who are eligible for MATH 094 based on either their COMPASS and/or ACT score or current course work. For more information about this workshop, please contact either your current math instructor or Ms. Newman Taylor at

Summer Writing Workshop

This workshop is open to new and continuing students who are eligible for ENGL 091 based on either their COMPASS and/or ACT score or current course work. Students currently enrolled in ENGL 101 who anticipate or find that they are unable to pass the course and want to improve their grammar and writing skills are also welcome to enroll in the workshop. For more information about this workshop, please contact either your current English instructor or Ms. Smith at
